Protecting your privacy is important to us. We hope the following statement will help you understand how U-ID collects, uses and safeguards the personal information you provide to us.

U-ID operates by the following principles:

1) Our sign-up form requires users to give us contact and demographics information. We also require a password to ensure the security on your account and credit card information. Personal information collected by U-ID is stored in secure operating environments that are not available to the public.

2) U-ID keeps all of your personal information private and does not share it with ANY third parties. We will not disclose your personal information unless acting under a good faith belief that such action is necessary to: a. conform to legal requirements or comply with legal process b. protect and defend the rights or property of U-ID, c. enforce the U-ID Terms of Service.

3) U-ID will not send you any unsolicited information, except as mentioned below. New users will receive a welcome letter explaining the features provided by the service. Under exigent circumstances, U-ID may be required to send you information about the service or your account. Our users can also subscribe/unsubscribe to our newsletter.

4) U-ID requires that your browser supports cookies and have that option enabled. The use of cookies is an industry standard, and many major web sites use them to provide useful features for their users. Cookies are information that a web site transfers to your computers hard disk for record-keeping purposes. They do not personally identify a user, although they do identify a user's computer. Most browsers are initially set up to accept cookies.

5) U-ID uses your IP address, browser type, access dates and times, and referring Web site addresses to gather general statistics regarding the use of U-ID.

6) If at any time you believe that U-ID has not adhered to these principles, please contact us and we will promptly determine and correct the problem.
